For many the previous crash in the 90s seem like a long time ago and i even hear comments like"wah property sure make money one" Well by all means go ahead but just be wary of another crash which could send your property value to down by almost 50% whereby here it could be very painful considering the loan amount which you took out for purchase.
One option would definitely be to rent out the place rather than to sell it off, which would see you realise your losses but then again with any investment, noone wants to see losses.
So whats with the rallying of property prices? Does it just boil down to a simple concept of supply and demand?
As the numbers show :
Only about 3,100 flats were built in the year 2008 when there were more than 70,000 PRs and 20,000 new citizens in the same year alone. That's quite a huge influx in foreigners and i suppose we are in for more foreigners coming ashore.
The numbers are astounding and another figure which astounds me was the article of property agents asking for a million on a HDB flat in a prime area, if i'm not wrong it was in Bishan. The numbers are scary and considering to live in my own flat will probably be a very painful decision for my own wallet.
